Koh Samui is an island in the Gulf of Thailand (Aow Thai), off the east coast of the Thai
mainland, in the province of Surat Thani. Koh Samui is Thailand's third largest island, after Phuket and
Koh Chang, with an area of 228.7 km² and a population of around 50,000 at last count in 2007. The
island itself is part of the Ang Thong National Marine Park which was the basis behind the book and movie,
The Beach. Things have changed somewhat since then, and Koh Samui is now a thriving holiday and tourist
destination for travellers and holiday makers worldwide.
We are a free travel information portal and business directory for Koh Samui and offer a comprehensive

Launched in October 2007, we are still in our infancy, gathering information and writing code so
that we can offer local business owners a free listing in our Koh
Samui business directory, which will be launch in mid December, just in time for Christmas holiday
